Entertainment Gaming Asia Inc., formerly known as Elixir Gaming Technologies, Inc., is a leading gaming company focused on the emerging gaming markets of Asia.
Our primary business is our gaming operations, which include our Gaming Participation and Casino Development operations.
Under our Gaming Participation operations, we provide electronic gaming machines on a revenue sharing (participation) basis to the growing and emerging gaming markets in Pan Asia, with a current focus on the Cambodia and Philippines markets. We secure long-term contracts to provide electronic gaming machines and related systems to premier hotels and other well-located gaming venues in Pan Asia. We retain ownership of the gaming machines and systems and receive recurring daily fees based on an agreed upon percentage of the net win per machine and provide on-site maintenance.
To better capitalize on the opportunities in our target markets and leverage our established presence and relationships, we are expanding our gaming operations to develop, own and operate regional casinos under our “Dreamworld” brand in the Indo-China region.
In addition, through our wholly-owned subsidiary Dolphin Products Pty Ltd., we manufacture and sell casino gaming chips and plaques primarily in the markets of Macau and Australia as well as non-gaming products such as automotive parts. EGT Entertainment Holding (formerly Elixir Group), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange listed Melco Group, holds approximately 39% interest in our company. Melco Group, through its associated company, Melco Crown Entertainment Limited, a publicly-held company on the NASDAQ, owns interests in gaming, hotel and resort properties such as City of Dreams, Altira Macau, and Mocha Clubs in Macau.
